Well, most prognosticators, this one included, expected the 49ers to pick from a deep class of wide receivers in this year's NFL Draft. However, Mike Nolan and company saw fit to take a linebacker to add to an already deep position and added some solid late round choices and a surprising divisional trade.

Round 4 - 104th Overall (choice from Washington), Jay Moore, DE, Nebraska
Round 4 - 126th Overall (choice from New Orleans thru Indianapolis), Dashon Golden, FS, Washington
Round 4 - 135th Overall (compensatory pick) Joe Cohen, DT, Florida
Round 5 - 147th Overall, Tarell Brown, CB, Texas
Round 6 - 186th Overall, Thomas Clayton, RB, Kansas St.
Round 7 - No choices
Traded 4th Round Choice ,124th Overall, to Seattle for WR Darrell Jackson
