To commemorate USA TODAY's 25th anniversary, a panel of USA TODAY's NFL reporters and editors has produced an anthology of the 25 best NFL players of the past 25 years. Working down from No. 25, we are unveiling one player each weekday until training camp season arrives:
•No. 16 Deion Sanders
His flashy style marked him as a celebrity around the sports world, but it was his skill as one of the game's greatest cornerbacks that earned Deion Sanders the 16th spot on USA TODAY's list.
Many analysts have anointed Sanders as the greatest cover cornerback in the history of the game for the way he effectively locked his assigned receiver out of offensive game plans. Sanders, who has 53 career interceptions, ranks second all-time in both yards off INTs with 1,331 and touchdowns off INTs with nine.

Whether it was as Neon Deion or Prime Time, Sanders helped raise the profile of defensive players with his All-Pro caliber of play and his savvy understanding of the business side of the NFL. Drafted in 1989 by the Falcons, he signed on as a high-profile free agent with San Francisco in 1994, winning the first of two Super Bowl rings and NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors. Sanders would then move on to Dallas and Washington. After a three year hiatus into broadcasting, he returned to play two more seasons with Baltimore.

From a 2-14 Raider fan, how did you sleep after your team was 2-14 3 years ago? I could use some tips to make the tears go away...haha.
Like you, I am participating in the Bloggers Choice Awards. Anyway, I would like it very much if you would go to http://www.bloggerschoiceawards.com/blogs/show/21020 and vote for me for best political blog and best overall blog as well, if you feel my blog is of a high quality. I really think I have a legitimate shot at winning. If you are open to spreading the word, that would be cool as well.
Although I love sports, I am not in the sports category, so there is no conflict of interest.
Thank you.

P.S. If you are open to adding me to your blogroll as well, that would be appreciated.
