On Thursday, the Niners announced that they have signed third-round draft pick WR Jason Hill (Washington State). Terms of the contract were not announced by the team. Hill (6-1, 204) played in 43 games with 31 starts during his four-year career at Washington State. He accounted for 32 of the team’s 68 touchdown receptions over his final three seasons for the Cougars. Hill’s 32 career touchdowns and 2,704 career receiving yards rank first in school history. As a senior, he tallied 41 catches for 600 yards and seven touchdowns in 10 starts. Hill recorded a career-high 1,097 receiving yards on 62 receptions as junior after tallying 45 catches for 1,007 yards as a sophomore. With the signing of Hill, the 49ers now have seven of their nine draft picks signed after inking T Joe Staley (1st round), LB Jay Moore (4th round), S Dashon Goldson (4th round), DT Joe Cohen (4th round) and CB Tarell Brown (5th round) and RB Thomas Clayton (6th round).
