The 49ers announced Friday that they have signed third-round draft pick DE Ray McDonald (Florida). McDonald was the second of two third-round picks in 2007. Terms of the contract were not announced by the team. McDonald (6-3, 282), saw action in 46 games for the Florida Gators with 36 starts. McDonald became the first freshman defensive lineman to start 12 games in a season (2003) and was only the fourth defensive lineman in school history to start as a freshman in the season opener. With the signing of McDonald, the 49ers now have eight of their nine draft picks signed after inking T Joe Staley (1st round), WR Jason Hill (3rd round), LB Jay Moore (4th round), S Dashon Goldson (4th round), DT Joe Cohen (4th round) and CB Tarell Brown (5th round) and RB Thomas Clayton (6th round).
